Lily & Jack had called me last minute to shoot their wedding at The Old Kent Barn, and I'm thrilled I could be part of their big day.
After being let down by their videographer, I met with Lily & Jack to chat over their wedding plans. I was so excited to be back at the Old Kent Barn again, having only been there 4 weeks prior for Brooke & Dan's wedding. This venue is simply stunning, and the staff run everything like clockwork to ensure everything runs smoothly. I love this venue.
I started off with some gorgeous drone shots of the surroundings before saying hi to the bridal party - it turns out a lot of the bridesmaids and I had mutual friends having grown up in Deal. Lily's dress was beautiful, and when Jack arrived, he looked super dapper in his wedding suit.
For October, the weather was gorgeous! The sun was warm, but probably not quite warm enough for the ceremony which was held inside the new barn. Working alongside Dave Christie at Crystal Memories Photography we shot some gorgeous confetti shots and later on some sparklers once the sun had set.
I wanted to capture a really fun moment with smoke bombs in the nearby field, so off we trekked to a sheep field just around the corner. As we opened the gate the sheep ran off at a million miles an hour, a shame as they would have made a great backdrop! Out came the smoke flares - they look so cool in slow motion - and me being me and trying to get an artistic shot, ended up sitting in sheep poop. The things we do for art eh?
I'm so chuffed with how their wedding film turned out. It has a lovely cinematic feel and really captures the emotions - in motion - so to speak. I can't wait to show the happy couple when they're back from their honeymoon - SO jealous!
Here's me and my beautiful bride!
